Hedrick, Hiatt, and Wright join management group after more than a decade each with the firm

High Point, NC – Smith Leonard PLLC (SL) announced the addition of Brandon Hedrick, Jeremy Hiatt, and Andrew Wright as its newest partners. The partnerships are effective as of January 1, 2023.

Brandon Hedrick (Tax Partner) joined Smith Leonard full-time in May 2010 after completing an internship in 2009. Throughout his career, he has worked with tax planning, tax assistance for mergers and acquisitions, accounting for income taxes (ASC 740), and state and local tax issues. In his most recent role as tax director, Brandon has established himself as an integral member of the firm’s IT committee and a leader in tax planning and assistance to the construction industry.

Jeremy Hiatt (Assurance Partner) began his career at Smith Leonard as an intern in the summer of 2010 before joining as a full-time associate in January 2011. In his most recent role as assurance director, Jeremy specialized in providing assurance services for privately held companies, primarily in the manufacturing and distribution industries, as well as serving in the firm’s not-for-profit practice. Jeremy has assisted with transaction advisory projects, served on the firm’s career advisor committee, and is on the board of several not-for-profit organizations in the community.

Andrew Wright (Assurance Partner) arrived at Smith Leonard in April 2011, bringing with him several years of experience from a large international firm in Charlotte. In his most recent role as assurance director, he served privately held companies, primarily those in the manufacturing, distribution, and construction industries, as well as serving in the firm’s Employee Benefit Plan practice. Andrew is a leader on the firm’s recruiting team, attending campus events as a face of Smith Leonard and interviewing candidates for the audit team.
